Good to know... I think for people to get an HIV/AIDS test is always an unsettling even scary experience, even if it might be for precautionary reasons. What I liked about this ad is that they weren't afraid to push past this taboo subject and force people to talk about it by making appearances on radio shows and even TV.
But the genius behind the camapign is taking this campaign, the information, and bringing it into a setting where women feel more relaxed and that is the beauty salon. This is a place where women can talk to other women about issues or events of the day, and what they were able to achieve is exactly that, to the point where they increased the calls to the help line by 90%.

VW The Touareg was going up against some stiff competition in the luxury market but looking at the results in the evaluation then it seems that they have far exceeded their expectations.
I remember watching Bourne Ultimatum where the Touareg made an appearance in an action scene where the car gets completely smashed up and VW used the car in their ads to prove that they have a 5-star front impact rating.
Also releasing a teaser for me is always a great way to get people's attention, especially if you've had successful campaigns in the past.

Mac discussion From the get-go of reading this campaign I knew that I would like it as Apple's advertising agencies TBWA/Chiat/Day create amazing campaigns.
I really like this ad, it's an ad that was impossible to miss. Also the way the actors resemble their founding fathers makes the ad hilarious and really grabbed my attention. Like Lenka saus in her analysis, I agree with the length of Mac's message even though it is to the point. What I really like is that they didn't make one specific ad for this campaign, they made like fifteen of them which for me makes it fun and interesting to see other ones on TV.

Qantas I really liked this campaign. From a personal point because being Australian it's good to see an Australian company breaks its borders and try to break into other markets especially the American one where there are so many opportunities. Qantas is a large company but has not been able to become as popular outside of the Australian and Asian markets.
Using actor John Travolta was, I think, a good idea and he really is the best person to use as a spokesperson due to his lucrative acting career but he's experience in the airline world. Also Travolta will help Qantas gain some publicity with the American public who fly to Australia instead of using an American company.
I encourage anyone to fly Qantas as like Jay said, the crew are really a good bunch of people who know a lot about the company but also the planes that they spend such long hours on.
